Theo Walcott is a highly thought of English winger who plays for Arsenal and England. At just 21 years of age, Walcott has huge potential and has shown real glimpses of quality during his short Arsenal and England career but many pundits and fans feel he has failed to show much consistency, and obviously there is much much more to come from the young English winger.

Walcott is probably the quickest player in the league, undoubtebly his amazing pace being his star quality. He has started to pitch in with more goals for Arsenal so far this season, silencing many of his critics. He has struggled with injury at times, and this has definitely held back Walcott from progressing and developing into the star that many believe he will inevitably become, but at just 21 years old he still has plenty of time to learn his trade with Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal team.

Theo Walcott started out at Newbury youth football club before being leaving to join Swindon Town. Massive sport sponsors Nike sponsored Walcott when he was aged just 14, obviously aware of his immense potential. He was signed up by Southampton and spent just a year here, having 21 appearances and scoring 4 goals. Arsenal signed him up in 2006 for £5 million, rising to £12 million with appearances. So far Walcott has made 15 caps for the full England side and scored 3 goals, a superb hat trick against Croatia.

Theo grew up as a fan of Liverpool but was born in North London, which is where he is now based with the Gunners. He currently plays as a right winger but it is believed that in the future he could play in a more advanced role, in the same way that Thiery Henry adapted as a winger to become a striker when he arrived at the club from Juventus years ago. Theo Walcott has huge potential and has the ability to become a real superstar at Arsenal, and could even hold down the right wing position for the England team for many years to come if he can just become more consistent with his performances.
